Mikala (pr: Mi-Kah-La) Lane is a vocalist, actor, vocal/drama coach and aspiring producer based in South Australia.

 

After completing her studies at the Brisbane Academy of Musical Theatre, Mikala moved back to her hometown of Adelaide in 2018 and started working in the Adelaide live music scene alongside Crafty Music Man in their duo ‘Acoustic Amigos’, has performed locally and interstate in many theatre productions and live music venues/events, and tours SA as one of the lead presenters in popular kid’s entertainment group ‘JAM Band’.

 

Mikala has been teaching singing and weekly ‘DramaRama’ Acting classes at the Gawler Youth Space since 2021. She has studied Estill Voice Training as well as completing the Vocal Educator Toolkit by Vocalab - giving her a grounding in vocal anatomy, technique and pedagogy. Mikala's specialty teaching areas are in building confidence in people of all ages, flexible teaching methods, and most of all finding joy in performing. In 2025 she will have completed her Bachelor of Music at Tabor Institute of Music.

Mikala has presented a successful sold-out season of her debut Adelaide Fringe show ‘My Little Voice: A Sara Bareilles Tribute’ in 2023, and ‘Boombox Bootscoot’ in collaboration with a talented 6-piece band, playing country covers of your favourite 80s hits at the Adelaide Fringe 2024 & 2025.
